Aside from the gorgeous golden late summer Seattle evening, this mama totally rocked her maternity session. I am so in love with this session and adore this beautiful mama and her family.
We began in late afternoon in Discovery Park, then made a quick pit stop for a wardrobe change, then headed off to an impromptu finale at Richmond Beach. We had some of the most beautiful light I think I’ve ever seen, and Rachel sure knows how to work the camera.
Thank you for deciding to take these photos, and choosing me to capture them! You’re a rock star and going to make a fabulous Momma to little Thomas <3
The day scheduled for this session was blustery and dusty due to the Washington wildfires. I was worried we would have to reschedule, but like clockwork, the dust settled and wind calmed (at least a little bit!).
We spent the session on the couple’s family farm – it was one of those adorable red buildings with pristine grounds, and a classic white fence. They had all kinds of vintage farm machinery and multiple sheds and buildings making for a variety of nooks and crannies to shoot – in addition to the family grape vineyards.
I’m so glad I had the honor of shooting with this beautiful couple, there was so much love and laughter. They are sure to make the best parents! I can’t wait to meet their little guy when he makes his debut in October.
My friendship with Brady has finally come full circle! I was so overjoyed to do this maternity session.
The day she called me to tell me that she and her hubby were expecting their first baby, my eyes welled up and I did a little happy dance.
Brady was one of my first best friends. She and I grew up down a dirt road from each other, and actually played around the wood structure we took some of these photos around. Which makes this shoot a little bit more special!
Brady’s style is very vintage country chic, so choosing the locations was simple. We chose an old silo on some old farm land by our childhood homes, some beautiful sand dunes that are a bit beachy, and finally, her grandpa’s farm. All were great choices and had their own purpose.
There were so many wonderful photos, I couldn’t narrow them down easily, so I just kept going with many of my favorites.
I’d love to hear what you think! Leave a comment!
